However, the two main sticking points with players have always been the ineffectual defense of large gangs and the lack of quality players. I know in the majority of games I have played, I have been up against one other good player with whom I make an alliance against the 5-6 mediocre players. It is sad that the hardest blocks to take are the ones owned by the no-shows. However, changes have been made to defense that will make defense more effective. Now, in certain games, defenders in neighboring blocks will come to the aid of your defenders. Not only does this make defense better, but it also ushers in a new era of geographic strategy, as players will no doubt expand in ways to maximize their defensive capability. Perhaps the game won't belong to the blitzkriegers anymore. Additionally, rumors have been circulating about exclusive, invitation only games that are in the works. Whether you are ivited or not depends on your performance in other Gangwar games, so get playing! I can't imagine being up against 40 other good players, so I can't wait for the first one! (There are also older rumors of a new scoring system in the works, which will take gang kills, among other things, into account). Finally, games will now have variability in their minimun AP usage for an attack.
