The Lands of Hope staff is very proud to announce that the Jurassic Wars expansion pack will be released on Friday February 16th.
The Jurassic Wars is the first expansion pack for Lands of Hope; perhaps more will follow in subsequent years.
A group of Springlade miners digging in an old mine, broke through into an abandoned network of tunnels while digging for ore. The tunnels were littered with the remains of mysterious creatures that the simple miners could not identify, a request was sent via way of Springlade to the Explorers guild to come investigate the strange tunnels.
A few days later a scouting party of half a dozen men arrived to begin preliminary explorations of the site, and they ventured into the caves ... for weeks no one heard from them, then one afternoon a lone survivor of the first expedition stumbled back through the tunnels he was babbling incoherently about monsters the size of houses and he was sent to recover his body and mind at a Healers hut.
After the lone survivor had recovered sufficiently the leader of the explorers guild Commander Eversight was summoned and the scout reported his findings, evidently the tunnel led to a new realm that had been forgotten by the rest of Myzan many generations ago, Eversight immediately set about preparing for an expedition to visit and set up a base camp in this new land.
The expedition left for the new land barely two weeks later, and was made up of able soldiers, medics, crafters and other souls who could be of use on such a journey, a few messages have been received back since Eversight left, it seems the land has a large amount of savage beasts, and a few native races that refer to these creatures as dinosaurs. The main expedition camp suffers from regular dinosaur attacks and several smaller camps have been formed to prevent no one attack being fatal to the expedition’s goals of exploring and cataloging the mysteries of Jurassic Wars.
The Expansion pack contains many new races such as Sabretooth Tigers, Raptors, Dragonflyers, Arachnins and Triceratops, there are over 15 new races added in this expansion pack, the expansion pack also contains the Hermit (which leads to Druid) profession. The Jurassic Wars realm is a totally new realm with all new artwork, all new races and all new fun, the monsters spawn dynamically based on your level here so a level 5 player can find as much to do as a level 500 or even level 1000 player.
Jurassic Wars also includes two new skills Patchcrafting and Transformation, and at higher levels Druids can choose to turn to the dark side and become Dark Druids and gain access to the Poison Magic spell line.
There are many new quests and trophies to complete in this expansion pack, and I figure countless hours of content for new and old players alike to have fun completing.
